Every year across Australia and the US an average of 50 children die from Hyperthermia as a direct result of being left in or gaining access to a vehicle in Summer time. Of those 50, approx. half were completely forgotten about by the caregiver, up to 41% gained access to the vehicle and became entrapped without the knowledge of the caregiver and 9% were left intentionally.
A vehicle in direct sunlight on a 30 degree day can reach as high as 70-80 degrees in 10 minutes with 75% of that increase occurring in the first 5 minutes. A child's thermoregulatory system is not yet fully developed which means they warm at a rate of 3-5 times faster than that of an adult.
My husband and I are embarking on a venture to bring to life the Ultimate in Car Safety and Security Device to endeavour to not only protect children (or beloved pets) from this often overlooked, deadly situation but to also provide peace of mind and ultimate security to vehicle owners in the event of theft or car-jackings.
The Indiegogo link is now live and the dTec SafeKam can now be purchased via the link below:
Please help us reach our funding goal and get this lifesaving technology in vehicles across the Globe.
If this campaign is successful we have big future plans and developments for the dTec SAFEKAM to activate air flow procedures in entrapment incidences.
Thank you to Channel 7 Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay for helping spread the word and awareness.
If you are an investor or Director of Buying and Merchandising in the Electrical Device Space or would just like more information about our device, please contact us and help bring Australian Innovation to the global market.
